  1. What is the best way for me to get information about my Canadian Indian heritage?
I know growing up there were talks about a reservation, Canook, Algonquin, etc..
I am almost the last remaining member of my family that has any recall or interest in finding out who we are.

    Respectfully,
    David Leonard

looking for the name fred or frederick martin. he was in the vermont US census report last in 1880. he was listed as mulatto. he was married to kesia martin before peters. He has a birth year either in 1826 or 1831. there is no other information for him. my grandmother always told the family we were native but to keep it quiet and always put white on any papers. I have searched canadian and american records and can not even find a death cert.
    please help me
    thank you
    ashley
