While we know our northern friends may not feel it, in the South, Spring is
here. So we thought we'd share a few of our gardening sites appropriate
for this time of the year. Along with gardening, there's grilling, and getting
ready to diet so that you can fit back into that bathing suit this summer!
A complete listing of all the Indian villages,
towns and settlements as listed in Handbook of Americans North of Mexico.
Flechazos (Span: arrow or dart blows). A name applied
by the Spaniards in the latter part of the 18th century to the upper village of
the Tawakoni settlement on the w. side of Brazos r., near Waco, Tex. The one
below it was called Quiscat. One or the other of these villages was the Waco
