While we know our northern friends may not feel it, in the South, Spring is here. So we thought we'd share a few of our gardening sites appropriate for this time of the year. Atfalati Indian Bands, Gens and Clans

Many tribes have sub-tribes, bands, gens, clans and phratry.  Often very little information is known or they no longer exist.  We have included them here to provide more information about the tribes.

Chachambitmanchal. An Atfalati band formerly living 3J m. N. of Forest Grove, Washington co., Oreg.

Chachanim. An Atfalati band formerly living on Wapatoo Lake prairie, Washing ton co. , Oreg.

Chachemewa. An Atfalati band formerly residing at Forest Grove, 6 m. from Wapatoo lake, Yamhill co., Oreg.

Chachif. An Atfalati band formerly living on Wapatoo lake, Yamhill co., Oreg.

Chachimabiyuk (refers to a swamp grass). An Atfalati band formerly living between Wapatoo lake and Willamette r., in Washington co., Oreg.

Chachimewa. An Atfalati band formerly living on or near Wapatoo lake, Yamhill co., Oreg.

Chachokwith (refers to a small shell). An Atfalati band formerly living at a place of the same name N. of Forest Grove, in Washington co., Oreg.

Chagindueftei. An Atfalati band formerly living between Hillsboro and Sauvies id., Washington co., Oreg.

Chahelim (helim ='outdoors'). An Atfalati band formerly settled in Chehelim valley, 5 m. s. of Wapatoo lake, Yamhill co., Oreg.

Chakeipi (Tch’′akéipi, at the beaver place) . An Atfalati band that lived about 10 m. w. of Oregon City, Oreg., be fore the treaty of 1855. Gatschet, Atfalati MS., B. A. E., 1877.

Chalal. An Atfalati band formerly settled near the outlet of Wapatoo lake, Yamhill co., Oreg.

Chalawai. An Atfalati band that lived s. E. of Wapatoo lake, Yamhill co., Oreg. They became extinct probably about 1830.

Chamampit. An Atfalati band which lived on Wapatoo cr., at the E. end of Wapatoo lake, Yamhill co., Oreg.

Chapanaghtin. An Atfalati band formerly living N. of Hillsboro, Washington co., Oreg.

Chapokele. An Atfalati band formerly residing 4 m. w. of Wapatoo lake, Yamhill co., Oreg.

Chapungathpi. An Atfalati band formerly residing at Forest (Trove, Washington co., Oreg., and on Wapatoo lake.

Chatagshisli. A small Atfalati band formerly living in Washington co., Oreg.

Chatamnei. An Atfalati band, long extinct, that lived 10 m. x. of Wapatoo lake, in Washington co., Oreg.

Chatilkuei. An Atfalati band formerly residing 5 m. w. of Wapatoo lake, in Yamhill co., Oreg.

Chawayed. An Atfalati band formerly living w. of Forest Grove, in Washington co., Oreg.

Hannakallal. A tribe or band, probably Athapascan, numbering 600 in 1804, and dwellings, of the 'Luckkarso' (Kosotshe) on the Pacific coast; possibly the Khainanaitetunne or the Henaggi.
