He was well clothed and the only word that he could articulate was “Jack and upon being adopted by a family known as Wright, he was known as Jack Wright. He married Jennie Crittenden.
Virginia “Jennie” James was married to John J. Gallion and they were my great-grandparents. I remember my grandmother had “step-brothers and sisters, sometimes referred to as “half” siblings. So, I’m not sure if it was John or Jennie who married multiple times. If anyone has information about this branch of our family, I’d like to connect. Thanks
why are some of my ancestors last name referred to as “downing” and “blanket” ? (in the Dawes packets)
Thank you for the info my 5th grandfather is john downing. He was married to chief flawing leaf s daughter. I am the decented of his son john b the 2nd who married 2 wifes he was said to have 20 childern. I also found cherokee on my dads sided too.
