A former Cherokee settlement on Little Tennessee r., at Big island, a short distance below the mouth of the Tellico, in Monroe co., Tenn.; not to be confounded with Long-island town below Chattanooga. Mooney in 19th Rep. B. A. E., 508, 1900.
