Indian Genealogical Research can be the most frustrating, exhausting, exciting and rewarding research you will ever undertake.  Most peoples research is based on a family story that a family member was a Indian, maybe even chief. Some even believe they can contact the Bureau of Indian Affairs telling them, that great granddad was Chief Holy Smoke and they need his Indian papers.  I can tell you for sure that isn't going to happen, the BIA isn't in the business to help you or anyone find their ancestors.
