The new kid on the block, FootNote is known for digitizing historical
documents... many of which are genealogical gems. With naturalizations,
city directories, war records, newspapers, town records, etc... this new
kid is quickly being recognized as an alternative to Ancestry.
Whereas, we
surviving members of the 7th Michigan Cavalry Volunteers,
desiring to establish an organization for the purpose of
preserving the friendship formed while defending our country
against armed rebellion and treason, and to honor the cause
for which we fought and the memory of our comrades who gave
their lives that our nation might live
