The Essex Antiquarian

The Essex Antiquarian was an illustrated monthly magazine devoted to the Biography, Genealogy, History and Antiquities of Essex County, Massachusetts and the surrounding area. It was printed in Salem, Massachusetts from 1897-1909 and edited by Sidney Perley.

The current collection comprises only a few of the monthly editions, and the articles have been published in order to make them complete, since the periodical liked to publish series of each item making the reader look to subsequent issues for the complete article.
