Born Dec. 31, 1892 in Ellensburg, Wash. Passed away Nov. 1, 1974 in Seattle, Wash., at the age of 81. He operated a farm at Colockum Creek outside of Wenatchee, Wash., for many years. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War I. In 1940 he moved to Alderwood Manor, and later to
Lela M. Conner, 87, a resident of McCleary for 18 years and a previous resident of O’Brien, Oregon, died February 13  at a local hospital. She was born December 2, 1887, at Lowell, Washington, and was a member of the McCleary Grange and the American Legion Auxiliary at Kerby, Oregon. Her husband, Clyde L.
Mrs. E. D. Ingersoll, one of the oldest pioneers in this district and a long-time resident of the Colockum, died in Seattle this morning after an illness of several weeks. Clara Albertine Ingersoll, 78, was born March 16, 1863, at Island Gandmaner Province of New Brunswick, Dominion of Canada. She was married to E. D.
Perry W. Hobson, 81, of Baker City, died July 9, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. His memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Agape Church on Highway 7. Forrest Turner and Garth Johnson will officiate. There will be a private family graveside service later at the Eagle Point Veterans Cemetery.
Virginia Bertram “Ginny” Coen, 89, died Oct. 20, 2005, at her home near Baker City. Virginia’s love of the Friday night jam sessions inspired her family to have her memorial service in the format of a jam session at her home, 14803 Mill Creek Lane. The service will be on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7

Baker City, Oregon Emily Irene Wiester, 88, of Issaquah, Wash., a former Baker City resident, died Feb. 24, 2003, at her home. I. Delbert Dern, 74, of Lynnwood, Wash., died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, following a brief five month battle with cancer. Private interment was held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Seattle, and a family celebration was held on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Lynnwood. The celebration was well attending and a fitting goodbye, with cousins from Baker
