A message was received from Salem yesterday, announcing the death of James Cunningham, which occurred in the asylum Wednesday night.

Deceased was brought to Elgin for burial. the funeral services were conducted in the Christian church by Rev. Benton.
Deceased was 58 years old, a native of Kentucky and had lived in this county for about 24 years.
