G. Ness, 75, Dies in La Grande
Alice G. Ness, who died at a hospital here at 3 a.m. today, daughter of John and Mary McQuiston, was born January 1, 1864 in Beaver County, Penn. She was married to Edgar P. Bull Sept. 30, 1879, and six children were born to this union.
Mr. Bull and two children, Freddie G. and Pearl May, preceded her in death. She leaves one son, Charles C. Bull and three daughters, Florence Umbarger, Pomona, Calif., Mary Overpeck, La Grande, and Valeria Walker of Portland; seven grandchildren, one of them Paul C. Bull of La Grande, and nine great-grandchildren; one brother of Indiana, several nieces and nephews.
She was married to Edgar G. Ness, March 15, 1923, and he survives her.
Mrs. Ness had made her home in Kansas for many years before coming to La Grande in April of this Year.
Funeral services will be held at the Snodgrass Funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Masonic cemetery.
