Mrs. Emeline Passwater Beckett, 93 years of age passed away at the home of her son Charles Beckett, Southeast of Adrian, January 29, 1949.
Mrs. Beckett was the daughter of Nancy Wilson and Samuel P. Passwater. Born July 28, 1855 at Freemont, Iowa.
Mrs. Beckett has been a resident of Bates County since 1866.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Meyer of Kansas City, and three sons, Charles of Passaic, Julius of Kansas City, Missouri, Ivan of San Francisco, California.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Beckett were held from Culver-Underwood Chapel in Butler, Missouri, Monday afternoon. The Rev. Charles Andrews was the officiating Clergyman. Burial was at Crescent Hill Cemetery.
