Becker, Vernon – Obituary

Enterprise, Oregon

Vernon Becker, 83, passed away Jan. 3 at a nursing home in West Linn. Becker was born Sept. 15, 1921 in Calhoun County, Ill., and moved to the Northwest after his years in the Navy.

Becker was a resident of Wallowa County for 35 years. He was active in Wallowa County Search and Rescue and in various horse clubs. In his retirement he and his wife traveled extensively through the United States, Alaska and Canada.

Becker is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary, daughters Mickey and Theresa, 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his daughters Shirley and Marilynn and his son Danny.

There will be no service. A private internment will be at Redland Cemetery in Oregon City.
