Roy A. Fisk Passes After Heart Attack

Roy A. Fisk passed away at the hospital Monday, Jan. 29, 1940. For several years he had realized that his heart was not strong and he had been careful not to over exert himself and he felt he was improving. However, he suffered a sever attack Sunday, after doing his morning chores on the old Jacob Bauer farm south of town, and he was taken to the hospital.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two o’clock in the Christian Church.

Mr. Fisk was born at Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, June 25, 1882, and came west when a small boy with his parents, who located at Yakima, Wash. Mr. Fisk grew up there and was engaged in railroad train service work for several years. He was married in 1918 to Peggy DeRacy at Vancouver, Wash., and they lived in Tacoma several years where he was in business.

About 12 years ago Mr. Fisk came to Enterprise to decorate the streets for a celebration, and he returned again, and then moved here in February, 1930, to a place on Alder Slope. After a few years he moved to Boise, Idaho, and then to Haines, Oregon, and returned to Enterprise last October.

Mrs. Fisk survives, and there are five children: Mrs. Ralph Turner of Jerome, Idaho; Mrs. Ralph Teall and David Fisk of Boise, and Bonnie and Jimmie who live at home. There are five brothers and sisters, Milo and Vern Fisk and Mrs. Jim Rodney of California and Hollis and Earl Fisk of Seattle. Mr. Fisk had made many friends who remember him for his genial kindness.
