Old Ebenezer Church, Effingham County GA – 1764 Burials

Bartholomew Mackh died Jan. 12, 1764, and was buried on the 13th in Bethany. His age was 34 years and 2 months.

Christian Gravenstein, a child of ,9 days, died in the night before Feb. 13, 1764, and was buried on that day in Bethany.

Regina Heintz died Febr. 10, 1764 of pain in the side and was buried Febr. 11. Her age, 38 years.

Timothy Birck, a child of 6 months, less 6 days, died early on March 11, and was buried towards evening.

Lois Eigel died March 17, 1764, and was buried on the same day.

Mary Catharine Pechtle died early on April 26, and was buried towards evening of the same day. Her age was 4 years and 10 months. 1764.

Barbara Fetzer, 44 years old, died May 1, 1764, and was buried the next day.

Carl Flerl died May 2, 1764, and was buried the next day.

Lucy Metzcher, a child of 2 years, died May 21, 1764, and was buried on the 22nd.

Tobias Fischer, a child of 2 years and 4 months, died July 8, 1764, and was buried on the 9th in Bethany.

Margaret Schubtrein was 79 years old, died July 21, 1764, and was buried the next day in the Town cemetery.

Anna Margaret, the 8-year-old daughter of Finck, died in Bethany Aug. 24, 1764, and was buried the next day in the Town cemetery.

Mary, the youngest daughter of Christian Steiner, 5 months old, died Sept. 18, 1764, and was buried the next day in Zion’s cemetery.

Catharine, the daughter of Balth. Reiser, 6 months old, died in Bethany in the night between Sept. 24 and 25, and was buried the next day.

John Riedelsperger, 11 years old, died in Ebenezer Oct. I, 1764, and was buried the next day.

Israel, the son of John Pflueger, died Oct. 9, 1764, and was buried the next day.

Gabriel Nathaniel Riedelsperger died in the night between Oct. 3 and 4, and was buried on the 4th. His age 133 years.

Catharine Dorothy Leitner died in Bethany Nov. 2, 1764 in the evening, and was buried on the 4th in the Town.

Sebastian Hasenlauer of Langenau died Nov. 21, 1764 in the evening, and was buried on the 23rd in the Town cemetery.

Peter Hammer, a 13-year-old inhabitant of Ebenezer, died in the night before Dec. 4, 1764, and was buried on the 5th.

N. B.-Up to this point the deceased have been reported to the Society.
