The new kid on the block, FootNote is known for digitizing historical
documents... many of which are genealogical gems. With naturalizations,
city directories, war records, newspapers, town records, etc... this new
kid is quickly being recognized as an alternative to Ancestry.
Initially this database includes family information from
"History of Hood River County, Oregon 1852-1982." The
author plans on including in the future information from census, vital,
and other records. A lot of the people in this database are living. To
protect their privacy, the author has restricted their information to only
their names.
