While we know our northern friends may not feel it, in the South, Spring is
here. So we thought we'd share a few of our gardening sites appropriate
for this time of the year. Along with gardening, there's grilling, and getting
ready to diet so that you can fit back into that bathing suit this summer!
Massachusetts Census online research should
begin with what is available online for free. If this proves fruitful then
congratulations! If not, then I would suggest signing up for the online
census images (links to the right) where you can access all the available
online Massachusetts census information directly from your computer at
home.
Parts of the 1800 census for Boston or much of the Suffolk
area does not exist. Individuals should look towards the 1798 US Direct
Tax for Boston, accessible on Microfilm through the New
England Genealogical and Historical Society; or the Tax Valuation List
of 1800, where the original can be found at the Massachusetts
State Library.
