I am looking for a grave for my great great grandfather’s first wife. I know her name began with an M. according to the 1860 census. Great g grandfather was James Henry Cornelius Coons Hamilton . He went mostly by Cornelius or Henry. I think she may have died between 1861 and 1864 as he joined the Ky. volunteers to fight in the civil war. His enlistment date is Nov. 8, 1861. Cornelius wife’s name may have been Mary as a Baby girl was born October 1861 . The baby was named Mary.I am wondering if his wife may have died from birth complications as there is such a short time between the baby’s birth and Cornelius enlisting in the army. Cornelius enlisted in Calhoon, in McLean co., Ky. and was released out of the army with a medical discharge in Feb. 6, 1863. In Sept of 1864 he married Juliann Stinson. If anyone finds a Mary Hamilton died between 1861 to 1864 please share. Could be in Logan Co, Ky. Muhlenburg or who knows?
