Booker, Elaine Anne Shuck Mrs. – Obituary

Elaine Anne Booker, 78, a former Baker City resident, died Feb. 16, 2007, at her home in Sacramento, Calif.

Elaine was born on Nov. 13, 1928, at Baker City to Lesley and Anne Shuck. She was raised at Baker City and was a 1947 Baker High School graduate.

She moved to Sacramento in August 1972 with her husband, Leslie Booker.

Elaine was a friend to everyone and truly loved children of all ages. The walls of her home are covered with pictures of all of her family. She had a knack for remembering birthdays and anniversaries and always had a spare greeting card to send for almost any occasion. Elaine was also an avid collector of dolls and stuffed bears and decorated her home with many of her favorites.

“Grandma will be truly missed by all who knew her,” her family said.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie; her brother, Donald Shuck of Baker City; her sisters, Billie Stoner, and her husband, Jyme, of Sun Sites, Ariz., and Patricia Williamson and her husband, Anton, of Baker City; sister and brother-in-law, Robert and Judy Thompson Karnes, her son, Lesley “Spike” Thompson and his wife, Carol, of Great Falls Mont.; her daughter Katie Thompson and her husband, Joseph Michehl, of Sacramento, Calif.; her grandchildren, Heather and her husband, Todd Fiore, Shana Michehl, Taelor Michehl, and Jesse Michehl of Sacramento, Shilo Thompson, Shay Thompson and Seth Thompson of Great Falls, Mont.; and two great-grandsons, Anthony “AJ” Michehl and Ethan Fiore, both of Sacramento; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many good friends.
