Patricia Lee Berryhill, 71, of La Grande, died at a local care center Aug. 27.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Island City Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Viewing will run from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Bishop Bruce Kevan will officiate.

Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Chimes Memorial Gardens in Happy Valley near Clackamas Town Center. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia was born on Nov. 24, 1935, to Earl Howard and Helen Gould (Jensen) Miller in La Grande. She was raised and educated in La Grande and moved to California, where she met Donald Ray Berryhill. They married in Reno, Nev., in 1956.

She loved horses, camping, spending time with her grandchildren, going for walks at the beach and shopping. She also enjoyed drawing horses and playing on the computer.

She is survived by five children, Christina and her husband, Joe Bunten, of Gresham, Sheri and her husband, John Brooks, of Portland, Cathrine Koenig of Gresham, Deborah Berryhill of Island City and Danyel Schlaht of La Grande; sisters, Phyllis and her husband, Marty Heisig, of Ontario, Judith Evans of Vale and Shari Tollman of Vale; brothers, E. Earl and his wife, Beth Miller, of McMinnville, Dennis and his wife, Judy Miller, of Payette, Idaho, David Miller of La Grande and Theodore and his wife, Connie Miller, of La Grande; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and her parents.
