Superior Imaging Awards
Superior imaging awards are given to webmasters and other
online genealogists that use imaging to enhance their genealogy website, and/or
family history. As digital cameras and scanners become more widespread, this
form of presentation will as well, spread. We felt however, that those who lead
us into this new digitized world, deserved an award recognizing their
efforts. This award is provided as a thank you to these webmasters for
their volunteer effort to online genealogists.

A favorite site of mine for a while. Over 500 photos of different churches in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucester, Northampton, Somerset, Bristol, and one album for other areas of England. Most listings have a description or history with them; and some have a larger image that can be reached by clicking on the smaller image. This remains one of the better uses of imaging by individuals online today. Thanks Richard! |

I've awarded Chase Co., GenWeb the imaging award for their placement of images of two manuscripts online: The 1892 Gardiner's Atlas of English History and 1891 Shippers Gazette. There are many other great images from other manuscripts and maps available as well here, but these two are the ones which overtly impress me.
