Created from St. Louis County, Missouri in 1818, Franklin County was home to over 28,000 individuals at the time of the fourteenth federal census. Compiled from microfilm copies of the original returns, this database is an index to the census records for county residents in 1920. This update completes the collection and brings the total number of names available to 28,407. Each record provides the resident's name, township of residence, and relationship to the head of the household. It also contains information regarding the person's sex, age, and birthplace.
